Holiday Folklore Series
This round is part of a series of colorized holiday rounds that look beyond Santa Claus to the darker, folkloric side of the season. The Krampus design draws on centuries old Alpine legend, giving collectors a spookier alternative to traditional Christmas collectibles. Its built in ornament bezel and gift ready pouch make the series a fun, offbeat addition to holiday decor as well as a silver stack.

Krampus
Krampus is a horned, half goat figure from Alpine folklore who traditionally accompanies Saint Nicholas during the winter season, punishing misbehaving children while Saint Nicholas rewards the well behaved. Often depicted carrying birch switches and a basket to haul off naughty children, Krampus stands in stark contrast to the warmth typically associated with the holidays. In recent decades the legend has grown into a popular global phenomenon, celebrated through festivals, films, and collectibles that embrace its darker take on Christmas tradition.
