Coyote & Road Runner Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner debuted in the 1949 Looney Tunes short "Fast and Furry-ous," created by Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese, and quickly became one of animation's most enduring comedic duos.

The premise — an endlessly determined coyote ordering increasingly elaborate ACME gadgets in a futile quest to catch an effortlessly elusive bird — became a template for physical comedy that has influenced cartoons, films, and pop culture for over 75 years. The ACME brand itself became so iconic it transcended the cartoon, becoming a universal shorthand for comically unreliable products and overly ambitious schemes.
